Traditional Costumes in the British Isles

Before we start. Do you know what countries does the United Kingdom include? How are people who live in these countries called?

Have you ever seen any of British national costumes? Maybe in movies or pictures? When do british people wear their traditional costumes? On celebrations or in everyday life?

Task 1.  Using the vocabulary below read the text on p.69 of your SB paying attention to the different traditional costumes. 

Task 2. Make right combinations of the fact about the national costume and the country.

Task III. In pairs each of you should describe one of the costumes from these pictures, using the vocabulary from the text.

Task IV. You need to collect information on a traditional costume in Russia or Tatarstan and write a paragraph about it. Don’t forget to follow the plan (ex.5 p.69). Also you need to illustrate your project with drawings or pictures.
